The safety \ntest involves showing that you can tie in, using a figure-of-eight knot \nand double stopper, and belay a partner on top rope. \u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe gather from about 6pm and occasionally to go to the adjacent pub for a drink at about 9pm. \u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHigh Sports is a public venue so you will need to sign up and book on\n their website or app before each session. BEC members can get a \ndiscount on one-off Monday evening climbs by selecting the Concession* \nentry (currently £11.50), though if you climb more often it can be \ncheaper to buy books of entries or a monthly pass. If you book with the \nconcession, you should be prepared to prove your BEC membership, for \nexample via an email confirming that you\u0027ve joined.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe BEC climbers have a Signal chat group where questions are asked \nand plans hatched at other times of the week. BEC members can get a \ndiscount on one-off Monday evening climbs by selecting the Concession* \nentry (currently £11.50), though if you climb more often it can be \ncheaper to buy books of entries or a monthly pass.
