I got your contact details from The British Mountaineering Council website and thought it would be an ideal opportunity to tell you about our upcoming event in August and to see if your group would like to enter a team to take part and raise funds for charity.
Our non profitable fundraising organisation ‘Red Rox Events & Fundraising’ was established in 2011 and has raised funds for multiple charities within Grampian/Moray over the years. We have also utilised these funds to purchase lifesaving equipment, which the British Red Cross has benefited from while safeguarding the lives of the people in Grampian. Furthermore, in 2014 our event raised funds to purchase a custom made wheelchair for terminally ill patients within the rural community of Stromness for NHS Orkney. We have acquired these funds by coordinating various events such as band/auction nights and endurance events.
This year’s event will involve scaling the three highest mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis, Braeriach and Ben Macdui, within 24 hours. As you can imagine this will be a great test of endurance as well as for good causes.
The event allows each team to raise funds for a charity of their choosing. 25% of each teams’ total funds raised will be given to a charity chosen by the Red Rox Events & Fundraising team.
Last year saw a collective total of £3,313.54 raised by all teams taking part which is an excellent effort!
